TARISA DISCOVER
Several credible options. Not two hundred names.
Most directories are measured by how many businesses they contain. That is the wrong number. What you need is a short list you can actually choose from, with the checks behind each name visible. That is what Discover is built to produce.
Breadth without evidence is just noise.
Zimbabwe is not short of listings. Between classifieds, directories and social media there are thousands of businesses one search away. What is missing is any way to tell them apart.
A listing proves a phone number was entered. It does not prove the company exists, that the person answering owns it, that the premises are real, that the licence claimed is current, or that the last four clients would use them again. So buyers fall back on referral — which works until the person referring has not actually used the provider either.
Curation is not a nicer word for filtering. It means we go and find out.
We recruit. We check. Then we list.
We go to the providers
We recruit cohorts category by category — through trade bodies, supplier networks and direct approach — rather than waiting for whoever signs up. Providers do not publish themselves onto TARISA.
We check before you see them
Every provider carries at least an identity check before appearing. Higher-risk categories carry more. The check is named on the profile, with its date.
We show the limits of the check
Identity verified is not premises verified. Premises verified is not credential verified. A profile shows you which layers exist and which do not, so you can decide whether to pay for more.
We keep it current
Important checks are refreshed at least annually and immediately after anything material changes. Statuses carry expiry dates. A check from two years ago is presented as a check from two years ago.
Concierge first, search later.
We are in pilot, and we are building the search on what we learn rather than on what we assume. So right now, a request works like this.
1
You tell us the job
In your own words — what you need done, where, roughly when, and anything you already know is complicated about it.
2
We come back with options
Providers we have actually checked, in your category and area, with the status of each check shown. Usually three to five. If we cannot find enough credible options, we say so rather than padding the list.
3
You contact them directly
We do not sit between you and the provider, and we do not take a cut of the job. Where a provider pays us, that is disclosed on their profile.
4
Verify picks up serious decisions
Discovery finds you candidates. It does not prove the quotation is reasonable or the company is solvent. When money is about to move, that is a different service, and we will tell you which one.
Six things, kept separate on purpose.
Most platforms blend everything into one star rating. We keep the signals apart, because they mean different things and they fail in different ways.
- What the provider tells us — services, coverage, capacity, references offered. Their claims, labelled as their claims.
- What we have checked — identity, premises, credentials, sampled track record, each with the date it was checked.
- What we have not checked — stated as plainly as what we have.
- How they respond — response time to enquiries through TARISA, measured rather than claimed.
- Reviews — from clients we can confirm used them, kept visually separate from our own checks.
- Anything paid — featured placement is labelled as advertising, and it does not move organic position.
No empty categories.
We will not open a category to the public until it has enough credible, responsive providers in it to be genuinely useful.
Our own internal gate is forty provider commitments, eighty per cent of pilot searches returning relevant options, and more than seventy per cent of providers responding within forty-eight hours.
Until a category passes that, it stays closed and we say so. It costs us reach. It is the only way the search is worth using when it opens.
Tell us what you need. We will do the finding.
I need a provider
Send a request and we will come back with checked options in your category.
I am a provider
